Jewelry on this page has suffered slightly under previous ownership. Each injury is described in detail. Defects are minimal and do not affect wear. The drastically low prices reflect their less-than-perfect condition.

Please bear in mind that if perfect these pieces would command much higher prices in the collector market. If you can live with a gorgeous piece of jewelry that is slightly condition-challenged you're getting a bargain. For this reason no jewelry featured in Delinquents is returnable.

Delinquent: From the Latin verb de linquere, meaning to leave. A suitable title as some things on these fine jewelry pieces left sometime in the past.

1940s Retro Topaz Color Crystal Choker

The choker seen here stands out a mile in several shades of golden to dark topaz faceted huge stones nestled atop a gently domed snake chain with adjustable hook. It was well loved by its previous owner, however. The back has some pitting which is why this choker belongs in the Delinquents.

Austrian Crystal Brooch

Multi colors in this Austrian crystal delicate butterfly style brooch that seems to stand in 3-D. Excellent Austrian crystal rhinestones throughout in ambers to greens and clear crystal. The trombone pin catch bespeaks the fact that it was most likely made in Europe.

It must have met with an accident at some time in the past as a repair is visible on the reverse, see soldering covering partially one row of the stones. It's beautifully executed but it's still present. Which is why this brooch now belongs in the Delinquents department, at a great bargain price.

Condition: The amethyst crystal cabochon has light surface scratches from wear, the prongs are missing some plating.
