This 14-piece set of silverplated flatware is a lot over 100 years old. It has retained the plate remarkably with no noticeable loss but there are scratches and minor nicks from normal usage. All pieces are solid, not hollow. The blunt knives have silverplated blades as stainless steel blades were not yet in use when these were made.

Please Note: The Shell 1860 pattern differs from many later made patterns named Shell in that the shell design appears both at the top and bottom of the handles.
