Table Knife and Table Fork Stainless Blade
6 Table Knives Stainless Blades
6 Table Forks
Knife and Fork Pattern Detail
Designed and crafted by Danish master silversmiths C.F. Heise and I. Holm, this charming service for six in Arts & Crafts robust style features:A sturdy oldfashioned table knife with a tapered stainless blade fitted in a solid handwrought robust handle.
Paired with a matching handwrought table fork with long tines and good heft.
Knife blades stamped J.A. Henckels Solingen Zwillingswerk and INOXIDABLE (i.e. STAINLESS STEEL).
Forks stamped 0800 for European solid silver of 800 purity.
Condition:
Exceptional, all pieces appear unused. The blades are likely a contemporary replacement as the pattern dates from 1914. The hallmarks of C.F. Heise were apparently lost when the old knife blades were replaced with modern blades.
Compare prices a service of 100 pieces in this pattern by C.F. Heise sold for at Wright's Auction, Vermont, US, in March, 2010.
