Oneida Community Silver Plate Flatware |
The CORONATION pattern in silver plate featured on this page was made for many years by several different manufacturing plants in the U.S. and also in Canada. When marketed in Europe it was also known as Hampton Court.
The CORONATION pattern has been copied in a stainless-steel-only version also, manufactured overseas in 2001-2005. This version is not available here.
Although the manufacturing plants usually adhered faithfully to the handle pattern design they did not always hold to the original lengths, thicknesses or exact shapes of the utensil parts in the original 1936 issue. Manufacturers used blanks they had and therefore there are now several vintage versions in just about every style.
When reading the descriptions below please pay attention to the asterisqs (*) denoting length and other differences, such as a serrated blade in some knives f.ex. Lengths in descriptions have a tolerance of +/- 1/16".
You are encouraged to compare the styles you try to match with the ones shown in the images, holding examples of your own utensils near the screen. For extra detail click image to enlarge, use Back to return to the webpage.
